At ParentCorps, we accomplished a lot this year. If you’ll allow me to brag for just a moment…
We introduced group-based coaching as a new program service offering, enabling us to help school staff build capacity in family engagement in the real context of their everyday roles and challenges.
We hosted the first-ever ParentCorps Summer Institute, which invited individual early childhood professionals to four days of self-reflective learning through our evidence-based, experiential professional development.
We celebrated 10 years of partnership in Detroit, and began a new partnership with D.C. Public Schools.
We submitted our new findings — that ParentCorps professional development enhances parents’ trust in teachers and school leaders — to academic journals. (More to come in 2026 on this!)
We reached more than 16,000 children through partnerships across 57 early education settings nationwide.
2025 certainly forced us to navigate challenging contexts. But through everything, what has not changed is our unwavering commitment to our partners — the school districts, Head Start programs, and community based organizations that look to us for support in building high-quality early education experiences, ones that center families and strengthen trust between home and school.
As we look toward the new year, we are committed to expanding this work with intention and care, and we need your help to do it. Together, we can continue to work towards unlocking the full promise of early childhood education for all children, especially those furthest from opportunity who stand to benefit the most.
In the words of one parent who participated in programming this year: “It felt like a piece of clothing. Something I needed. ParentCorps helped me remember my kid is a kid. As well as putting different strategies for both of us.”
Your support helps us continue showing up for children, families, and early childhood professionals in ways that truly matter.
In solidarity,
Kai-ama Hamer, Director of ParentCorps
