Position Summary:

ParentCorps is seeking a highly organized, collaborative, detail-oriented Research Coordinator to join ParentCorps’ data team, which oversees and executes all data activities related to the implementation of ParentCorps programming in early childhood settings.

The Center for Early Childhood Health and Development (CEHD) in the Department of Population Health (DPH), NYU Grossman School of Medicine conducts research and creates programs to improve the health and development of children, and advance health equity by developing and testing real-world solutions.

Based in CEHD, ParentCorps is an evidence-based model that partners with pre-K programs in historically disinvested communities, with long-term positive impacts on children’s long-term mental health, physical health, and academic achievement. In close partnership with pre-K programs, ParentCorps works to build a different pre-K experience – one that centers race and culture, engages parents as partners, and supports children’s social-emotional well-being – to help unlock the full promise of early childhood education. ParentCorps’ evidence of impact is endorsed by Blueprints for Healthy Youth Development, the Office of Head Start Early Childhood Learning and Knowledge Center, Child Trends, and other government and nonprofit organizations. The Research Coordinator will report to the Data Team Supervisor and work collaboratively with fellow data team members and program implementation teams on all aspects of data related to ParentCorps program reach, quality and fidelity. The Research Coordinator will be responsible for collecting, processing and managing implementation data; generating surveys and reports; coordinating and tracking data projects; and supporting logistics for ParentCorps professional development. This position is currently offered as a hybrid onsite/remote work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate collection, processing and reporting of qualitative and quantitative data related to ParentCorps program implementation and professional development.

  • Coordinate all aspects of data projects, including documenting project objectives, monitoring timelines, project progress and deliverables.

  • Conduct all aspects of data management including tracking, clerking, entering and cleaning data.

  • Analyze and summarize data and generate reports, using SPSS, Excel, REDCap and Google Suite.

  • Create and update online surveys, using Qualtrics and Google Forms.

  • Execute established protocols for the tracking of Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) credits offered to educators who attend ParentCorps professional development.

  • Support logistics of virtual and in-person ParentCorps professional development offerings for early childhood educators and mental health professionals, including setting up registration, preparing data collection materials, and providing technical support.

  • Serve as the data liaison to team(s) who support and implement programing in established ParentCorps partnership locations (e.g., NYC, Tulsa, or Detroit); ensuring that all implementation data needs are met for the given partnership.

  • Serve as a champion for and communicate effectively about data, to promote data-informed decision making and integration of data in all aspects of ParentCorps implementation.

  • Participate in center-wide professional development (e.g., racial and gender equity workshops; institutional training for data management).

  • Participate in team meetings and supervision.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Education, Public Health or related field.

  • Two years minimum experience in human subjects’ research setting.

  • Demonstrated competence in descriptive data analysis.

  • Demonstrated experience with writing data reports and presenting data to a range of audiences.

  • Experience overseeing a project from start to finish.

  • Experience working with diverse populations.

  • Experience with SPSS, Excel, Qualtrics, Google Suite, and REDCap.

  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work within a team environment, as well as independently.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in early childhood education settings.

  • Experience with social-emotional learning program implementation and/or evaluation.

  • Experience building and managing relationships with stakeholders and cross functional teams.

  • Experience with data visualization, dashboards and/or databases (e.g. CRM and LMS platforms).

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 – $62,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
